After solid off-season by both schools, this
year looks to be promising. Both teams are looking to make a run and get the NCAA Tournament berth from the Patriot
League. This after both teams lost to league champ, Colgate, last season.
Navy looks to continue to launch the three ball this season. Scoring
leader, Connely, returns for his junior season after averaging over 32 ppg last season. In a recent interview he stated,
"This year I am going to have to be more of a leader. I will look to get my teammates more involved. By doing
that I will get some better looks at the basket for outside. However, when it comes to the end of close games expect
to see me be taking the shot."
Army will be looking to make their run with the help of a couple freshman.
Coach Garr was happy about his recruiting effort last year. He is hoping to see some quality minutes from Carter.
Carter is very athletic. Expect to see some rim rattlers throughout the season.
